No matter if we have a master or not, we must rely on ourselves, because the highest master is ourselves rather than the Master outside or the Master inside. However, before reaching a certain high level, we still need the guidance from a wise person whom we call Master or Teacher.

Of course, before we achieve anything in spiritual practice, we still need to rely on someone who has more experiences than we do, just like we need a guide to lead the way, because we haven't treaded on that path before and don't know what hindrance or danger there will be on the way. Therefore there should be a guide to lead us, and we will know everything after we walked this path. The guide is just to lead the way, but we have to walk on our own. After we finish it, we need to come back and lead others, instead of being led each time on the same path.

1. The status of a Shami was originally lower than that of a bhikshuni. Master was already a bhikshuni at that time. Why did she still prostrate to a new monk?
2. It's still not ultimate even if we see the inner Master. Why do we also have to leave the inner Master eventually?
3. There are multiple methods and numerous paths in spiritual practice in order to become Buddhas or Bodhisattvas. How can we achieve that goal?
4. During the last stage of the Dharma, is it possible that all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are soon transformed into this samsara world to deliver sentient beings? Is it possible that they do not enter the embryo and just come down in their own manifestation bodies, or borrow others・ bodies to deliver sentient beings?
5. Since Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can have manifestations and magic powers to deliver sentient beings, why should they still use a physical body?
6. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are able to change the law of the samsara world, but why do they refuse to do so?
7. In the beginning, we volunteered to come down to this samsara world to learn things. What do we want to learn then?
8. Why can just one thought from you influence many other beings, and activate many beings to make them form a structure for actions? It is just like a mechanical system, if we press one button, the whole system starts to vibrate and run.
9. No doubt we will encounter some difficulties in spiritual practice. Can we ask for inner Master's help if we really can't bear that situation?
10. Why do some people's appearances stay the same even after they attain the Tao? Do their bodies in this world look the same with their bodies up there, including both the inside and the outside?
11. Why can't a Buddha or Bodhisattva deliver sentient beings if he has never been a human or experienced the cycle of life and death before?
12. It is said that spiritual practice is infinite. Is it true that there is not an ultimate place to stop?
13. Are there ghosts in this world? Can a ghost practice spiritually?
14. Many masters can stay in samadhi for many months. Can we reach the state of being in samadhi for many months during our meditation?
15. The scriptures say humans come from Ābhāsvara (the light-sound heavens). Why is it said in the Biology textbook that humans are evolved from apes?
16. If our relatives encounter difficulties and have bad karma, should we encourage them to give more alms ?
