In appreciation for their devotion, Supreme Master Ching Hai lovingly shared vegan ice cream with the working staff. She encouraged them to be humble like trees. A tree that grows a lot of fruit bends down lower. People should do the same. Good people are very humble. They quietly serve the public, speak when it’s necessary, and have no complaints.

The more love we have, the fewer problems we will have. The more enlightened we are, the fewer questions there will be. And, even though we might speak different languages, when we are mindful and do our best to serve others, we understand them on the inside. Then, we know what to do. We won't have any problems!

Supreme Master also told stories of meeting her newly adopted big dog, Good Love. Because of Good Love’s previous bad record, the staff at the dog center were concerned about Master adopting him. But, under Master’s care, Good Love revealed that he is not only intelligent and brave, but also the most loving protector. Master praised him for being a perfect, beautiful soul, and for being a best friend!

4. Master told funny and lovely stories about dogs: about Big Dog Good Love crying to Master because he wanted to be a monk and Hermit going to find his friend, Goody, for help whenever he confronted confusion or scary situations.
5. Sharing is also a kind of love. Whenever Master has some delicious cakes, she always shares with disciples, not only the sweetness of cakes, but also her abundant love.
