During  the time of Sakyamuni Buddha, there was a couple named Jin Tian and Jin Guangming who had followed the Buddha to become monk and nun and  attained arahantship. They went  through 91 life times even though  they had met  disciples of a living Buddha, only because they had  one wrong conception in their previous life. Supreme Master Ching Hai reminds us with this story that we’d better not teach others about Hinayana to make them attached to worldly blessings; if we want to give people advice, we should advise them to practice  the supreme Tao,  and teach them  the highest ideal of freedom  from the suffering of life and death.,  Conceptions are very important because we are born where our mind is. That’s why Master only advocates “Immediate Enlightenment and Eternal Liberation”.

Supreme Master also told  3 Jewish stories: “Happiness Seeker” tells us that happiness is not measured by what we own but by our heart. “The Farmer and Snake” reminds us that we should not crave for immediate attainment of Buddhahood, but should keep the precepts and meditation. “Treasure from Heaven” tells us  how we should wait for new Messiah so that we won’t miss Him while  widespread predictions about Jesus coming back to the world again.
